Midwifery care:
Hour long appointments in the comfort of your own home/office space on the following schedule:
Monthly visits from 10-12 weeks until 28 weeks
Every two weeks from 28-36 weeks
Birth Team meeting at 36 weeks
Weekly visits from 37 weeks-birth
Active labor, Birth, immediate postpartum period
Postpartum home visit at 24-48 hours
Home visit at 3-5 days
Visit at 2, 4 & 6 weeks
At these appointments, we take vitals of mom and baby and discuss of nutrition, exercise, rest, and emotions.
Care also includes basic labs, birth kit, birth pool lending, newborn congenital heart screen, newborn screening, Comprehensive newborn exam, ect.
Newborn care is included in this midwifery service. Newborn exam and assessment will be made at each postpartum visit. Midwife will assume care of the healthy newborn for the first six weeks. Referral for pediatric care will be made if it becomes necessary. Some will not see a pediatrician until after this time. Some may want to establish care within the first 6 weeks.
During labor another birth attendant will be at your birth. You'll meet her at your 36 week “Birth Team Meeting”.
$6000 for services
$500 off for early payment, $500 return clients, discounted rate for Medicaid insured- please inquire .
I can bill PPO insurance for reimbursement, as an out-of-network provider. Sometimes they pay 40-60%. Occasionally they will pay 100%
